Especially now during the credit crunch a lot of people like to relax and unwind with a great game of golf. But there are still a huge amount of people that play golf competitively.
One of the more annoying aspects of competitive golf is when players that think they are better than you try to give you tips. This is probably one of the worst scenarios to be in as it can put you off your game a tremendous amount.
The most awkward thing about golf tips is that not every person is the same when it boils down to it. It is not the same as any other sport such as Football or Rugby, swinging golf clubs needs your own technique, what may work for you probably will not work for someone else. I Simply do not think that the more tips you get in golf the better you become.
The thing about the game of golf is that practice makes perfect, you should ideally find out what idea works best for you. There are a few thoughts on improving your game without taking anyone's tips.
1) Try to feel the golf putters or golf club, get your body in a position that will be the most relaxed, not a position that anyone tells you to do. Just close your eyes and imagine pulling back the club and hitting the ball.
2) Try not to be distracted by the difference in Golf Equipment. There are a huge amount of people that are terrible when it comes to golf, but they still insist the better golf equipment they buy the better they will be.
So summing up if you want to be good at golf, do not be a copy cat you should instead find your own unique style of swing and play.
